Crime update

Four men have been charged in connection with a burglary on The Fens in Hartlepool, where three vehicles were stolen.

In the early hours of Saturday 25 April, a house in Spalding Road was broken into and three vehicles were taken.

A 20-year-old, two 19-year-olds and an 18-year-old man were arrested later that morning and have since been charged.

One 19-year-old man was charged with possession of class A drugs (cocaine), burglary of a dwelling, aggravated TWOC, dangerous driving, going equipped for burglary and resisting arrest.

The other 19-year-old was charged with aggravated TWOC, possession of class B drugs, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

The 18-year-old was charged with aggravated TWOC and possession of class B and C drugs.

The 20-year-old man was charged with aggravated allowing to be carried (in a taken vehicle).
